Emergency Surgical Cricothyroidotomy in the can’t intubate, can’t ventilate scenario is a life-saving procedure that is designed to restore ventilation and oxygenation in airway compromised patients.

Surgical cricothyroidotomy is the airway of choice in combat medicine. It is well documented that performing orotracheal intubation in combat environments is often not viable due to time constraints and because light visible from operating intubation equipment, may potentially provide easy target access to the enemy.

The kit provides access to all the equipment required to perform rapid surgical cricothyroidotomy in the field. This kit facilitates tube placement by means of a Jackson-type tracheal hook with large finger curve for stability, when performing the procedure in high-risk patient care zones.
